The ancient sport of Kabaddi is bringing communities together

Our Community Connector in Glasgow, Adeel, has been committed to using sport to bring divided communities together since coming into the job a few years ago.

He identified that a shared love of team sport and competition can be an amazing way of bringing different communities together. And that Kabaddi - a sport with a 3,000-year history - was a great way of uniting different cultures and religions.

Since first promoting it in Glasgow, he's been involved with fundraising for Scotland's Kabaddi World Cup team, and Groundswell has also sponsored several Kabaddi events (including the event above).
